For the second time on our trip, Etna erupted. This time we were in Nicolosi, one of the closest villages to the mountain and got a great view.
It looks like the lava is very close to the town, but that is just an effect of the telephoto lens. It was probably about 15km away. That said, seeing it in such close proximity to town does give you a bit of a thrill.
