Now I talked a little bit earlier about how stability can be a bit of a trap. Stability itself is not really the goal and probably never has been, because if you know anyone who is totally stable they’re probably, in most cases, bored out of their mind. They may tell you that. They may not tell you that, but they get up, they got to work, they do the job, the go to lunch, do the afternoon, come home watch tv, have dinner, watch tv and go to bed. Cycle and repeat. And you’ll often hear from them, verbally, “God, I’m so bored. Uggg.” Because they have stability. Yea! Great thing to have. Wonderful. And you hate your life. We don’t — it’s conflicting ideas. We’re taught that stability is good. Stability is normal. Stability is solid, but it can also lead to a life that’s just not really interesting and a life where you’re not achieving everything that you could achieve.
