Transcript:

Once we have our basic needs met, you actually have some stability in your life. And what I do recommend you do is use these tiny little bits of stability as springboards that allow you to do other things. First of all, you have to recognize the stability in your life. If you have a current job now, have an income right now, you have enough savings right now, to get you by, You can kind of say, “Ok, and I’m not going to rest on those laurels, but I’m not going to be out on the street.” Ok? Recognize that stability say “That’s a good thing. I have that. That’s something that I don’t need to worry about.” This allows us to look outwards then to new and different environments — New and different jobs — new and different careers and investigate some of these things that perhaps we have actually thought about in the past, but never took the time to do. Because, again, once we’re stuck in a job, we don’t think about these things any more. We stop thinking about this hobby or that. or this particular career or I want to be on the Mars Mission that’s going to go to Mars int eh next several decades or whatever.
