Don’t make rash decisions. Make carefully considered decisions. If you feel that you have made a carefully considered decision — pragmatic, as well — you, know, that falls into that whole realm as well – then take that and know that you have done your due diligence. You’re the stock picker whose gone out and looked at the financials of the company before investing in it. You have done the hard thinking that needs to be done before you made the decision. You haven’t made it on the spur of the moment and you should be comfortable in making that decision, if you have decided it is best for you. Don’t allow others to trap you in situations by being demeaning or dismissive to you. These are two of the biggest controlling factors in any relationship — business, personal, whatever. People have learned that they can control others by demeaning them or by simply dismissing their opinons. Have the faith in yourself that you have done the hard thinking. That you know what you need and what you want out of this and move forward. Don’t allow them to trap you into situations. Don’t allow the boss to day, “Well, you’re never going to get another job if you leave this one.” How many of us have heard that, right? BS. Don’t do that. It is just a way of controlling you.
