I am always so amazed. We have a Christmas party every year. We invite people from all different aspects of our lives, so we have college professors. We have musicians that play at coffee houses and poets. We have people in the high-tech world and it just — this whole collection of different people who all only really know us in that realm. They only know us as college professors or teachers. They only know us as fellow parents at the high school. They only know us as a computer guy. Then, all of a sudden, they come to one of our parties and you have the musician talking to the computer guy to the teachers to the elderly person to the — all of a sudden the conversations that arise. One of the most amazing conversations that popped up is that we discovered that one of our older friend and one of our younger friends — a guys I was working in high-tech with over at Walt Disney Imagineering — they discovered that they were both adopted and had sought out their birth parents and my friend had just connected with his birth mother. They were off in a corner the whole party, just having this — She was a librarian in the LA Public Library system. He worked at Walt Disney Imagineering with me. When would they have ever come together. When would they have ever met, but it was in that intersection — that crossing point — that friction. How else would these amazing conversations occur. The same thing can happen in your career.
