“Now, I know a lot of you think or are thinking right now, “Oh my God, Doug is out of his mind. I don’t have any power. I don’t have any power in my job. I don’t have any power in my life. I don’t have any power over anything. I just get pushed from one thing to the other. How can I practice leadership?” The fact is, you do have power and you have a very important type of power. You have the power of the good example. You can live your life the way you would like life to be and you can live the example that you would like other people to be living as well. You have the power to do good in the world. I don’t care what your position. I don’t care what you do, who you do it for or where you do it. You have the power to do good, both for yourself and for the world around you. It is in the small everyday efforts that really make the difference in how you do good in the world. ”
