You’re not changing anything dramatic in your life, but what you are doing is your exercising that risk muscle. You’re being open to things that just happen to walk into your life. It doesn’t mean you have to do everything that comes along. It doesn’t mean you have to do everything that comes along for a long period of time. You just have to look at it — engage with it — investigate it — think about it. Thinking about it is the lowest level. Just saying “oh, that’s sort of interesting. I haven’t really done that before. Maybe I should go try that.” and you — there’s so many things you can just go and try for free or learn on your own. I’m very — what they call and auto-didactic — to be fancy about it. I’m a self-teacher. I learn myself. My wide went back to get her Masters Degree and her Ph.D later in life and she asked me if I wanted to go do it with her. “No!” I prefer to take whatever method that comes along. If a topic comes up in my mind — I’ll see something that the library and I’ll just grab the book and start to learn about it. I’ll go “down the rabbit hole” as I say. I’ll learn everything about beekeeping for a month or whatever. not that I’ll pursue that as a career or — just — what litte things can I learn from this new thing in my life. Because everything had a unique aspect about it. What little thing can I learn from beekeeping that I can apple in my career — or in my life.
