• I feel the need the need for MEAD! – April 4, 2011 – I am looking to make some mead as the next step in my “brewing” adventures, after the hard cider I made a few months ago. (About time for a new batch of that, too.) So, now I am on the lookout for meda information and came across this today. I hadn’t heard of using the additions before. It only makes sense, but I hadn’t thought of it before.

• Project Noah App Lets You Learn About Nearby Wildlife and Provide Worthy Research Yourself [Apps] – March 30, 2011 – I have forwarded this story to several of my friends who work with kids and their knowledge of the environment around them. I just downloaded it and will check it out when I am out and about.
• Facebook Profiles Can Now Convert Into Pages – March 30, 2011 – I know a few people who need to do this so that they can actually use their Facebook Profile as it was intended.
• Blanche Vaughan's perfect spring raddicciho rissotto – March 30, 2011 – I am always a sucker for risotto and this sounds like a great variation on the 2 we already make. I am not a big vegetable eater, but I do like radicchio in salads so I think it would be fine here.
• Decorated One-Plank Chair – March 30, 2011 – Plain or amazingly detailed, these one-plank chairs are simple and yet stylish. I don’t know if I could create any of the carved versions, but the basic one might be within my skills. I passed this on to our new SCA member friends as it would fit right in in a period camp, I think.
