I had to replace my podcasting mixer last year and I have been very happy with this Mackie PROFX8V2 system. It provides phantom power to my condenser mic, allows me to connection external compressor and is quiet. I probably don’t use 1/23 of its features, but the price and physical size was right. It also provides great sound for Skype and other online interviews that my wife and I frequently do. Overall a great bit of kit with lots of flexibility and enough channels to do almost anything you might wish.
