I have been wanting to replace my aged surround system that I picked as a refurbished unit many years ago. One thing I was looking for was a wireless set of back speakers so I didn’t have to figure out how to run wires over doorways and such. Unfortunately the price point for these types of system were a little out of my range.
Today, though Kinja pointed to sale on this older, but still very functional unit and it came in around my price “pain threshold of $200+ instead of the typical $500 or more. The reviews were good, so I put in my order this morning. It is great timing as we are having carpet installed in our home office/family room and I was going to have to tear down the existing system anyway. Now, I’ll be able to remove that unit and install the new one as soon as the floor is installed. Yea! Additionally, it looks like this system might finally return me to the days of having only 1 or 2 remotes to control my AV system. A welcome change after days of needing 3 or 5 remotes to control eveything.
These sales tend to sell out quickly, but you may be able to find deals around the same price point.
I’ll let you know more once I have the system installed.
