I have had a taste for something sweet each evening, much as we enjoyed after each cena (dinner) on our Sicily Trip. The taste of Nutella is ever-present in our memories so I thought…why not combine the traditional American flavor of a good peanut butter cookie with just a little schmear of Nutella on top.
Here are the results.
I think it actually worked very well. The Nutella hardens up a bit, turning almost into a fudgy frosting on top. It lends just a nice hint of chocolate and hazelnuts without overwhelming the cookie. I would definitely do this again.
