There are times when something catches our eye in the garden — something different from our usual assortment of finches, sparrows and mourning doves.
On this morning, my wife spotted a bird with different coloration – and moving in a different way — than our usual bird visitors.
Our visitor looks to be a juvenile male Nuttall’s Woodpecker (Picoides nuttallii). I was able to quickly catch these 3 minutes of silent footage to share.
