Ring, ring, ring...adn so goes my day, even this close to the holiday. Where would be be without the telephone, though. There are aspects of my work today that couldn't be accomplished without my cell phone, let alone a normal landline phone.

Still, there is something about that Pavlovian ring that can get a little wearing at times.
