KelpFest will be held at the park where Ocean Park Blvd. meets the beach, adjacent to the bike path, from 11AM - 4PM. The event is an educational celebration of our local kelp habitat here in the Santa Monica Bay, and educates the community about environmental and marine issues. We invite the public to attend this fun-filled community oriented event which will feature booths of environmental groups, various interactive kids games, activities, and arts and crafts, an extensive Kelp Education presentation, Kelp Food Products, Live Pirates and Mermaids, and non-stop stage entertainment. An environmental car exhibit, surfing demonstration game will also be featured. The event also highlights our 3rd annual Clean Cities, Clean Oceans contest, co-sponsored by the City of Santa Monica and Los Angeles County Department of Public Works.
