Archive.org has a host of old seed catalogs (from mid-19th to mid-20th Century) available in many formats and on a host of topics. I happened across a few in my Pinterest feed and gone completely down the rabbit hole in this treasure trove of information. Sure some ideas might be out of date, but you never know what you might find when you explore these catalogs. I’ll be sharing more catalogs as I find them in the coming weeks. –Douglas

The image is a vintage advertisement for flowers, titled Flowers for Springtime by Miss Mary E. Martin, dated 1910, from Jericho Road, Floral Park, N.Y. The background is a soft pink with detailed illustrations of various flowers, including a large calla lily, white phlox with red centers, and red roses. The flowers are depicted in a realistic style, with intricate details and shading.

In the upper left corner, there is text that reads Mrs. Roosevelt Yellow Calla, 25¢ each, 3 for 65¢, 5 for $1.00. In the upper right corner, the title Flowers for Springtime is prominently displayed, followed by the name Miss Mary E. Martin and the year 1910. Below this, the address Jericho Road, Floral Park, N.Y. is written.

In the lower left corner, there is a circular frame with a portrait of a woman, likely Miss Mary E. Martin. The text below the portrait reads Killarney Rose, 15¢ each, 2 for 25¢. The price of the phlox is listed as Phlox Maid of Orleans 15¢.

The overall design is ornate, with decorative elements and a vintage aesthetic, reflecting the style of the early 20th century.
