Due to the Omicron COVID surge and temporary staffing shortages, we are currently experiencing minor collection delays throughout the month of January. We are implementing our contingency plan to make sure the refuse (black) bins are picked up according to normal schedule; however, service delays may occur with the other commodities, especially with the recycling bin (blue bin) collections. Our available drivers have committed to working additional hours to complete bin collections within a day or two of normal collection. Please leave your bins out and make sure they are accessible for collection during these delays.
Our team has created a dynamic web map on our website, so residents can see all routes missed and even search for their address to see if there is a delay. This feature will allow our team to make timely and daily updates with information regarding the impacted collection routes. In addition, we will be publishing multiple messages via social media (@lacitysan) to inform residents/customers about the service delays.We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your patience with us.
