This has become very popular around me here in Los Angeles. I now seeit almost everywhere, but it was not that prevalent when we first planted ours. “Hot Lips” seems to love our garden and climate, threatening to grow out of control without regular pruning.

The Hot Lips sage went entirely dormant due to our very hot and dry summer, but with the first rain it is growing again. These tiny heart-shaped flowers eventually turn white with little red tips.
