Captivating Cactus and Striking Succulents – 75 in a series – New paddles on my opuntia
Many of my opuntia transplants — taken from a neighbor’s large specimen — are throwing off a number of new paddles this spring. Even those that are still in pots are showing signs of growth. I hope to eventually get fruit from these opuntia both to eat and make into a prickly pear liqueur. I regularly make limoncello and others, but I think one from opuntia fruit would be quite unique and nice.
