Historical Seed Catalogs: Peonies and iris by Peterson Nursery (1910) – 67 in a series

This is a botanical illustration of a single, fully bloomed dark red peony flower. The flower is depicted with numerous, densely packed petals forming a rounded shape at the top of a thick green stem. Several large, deeply divided green leaves branch out along the stem, creating a lush appearance. The illustration is rendered in a realistic style, with detailed shading and textures. There is handwritten text in the top left corner of the image, with the number "6223" and "1910" visible. At the bottom, there is text that reads: "PETERSON NURSERY CHICAGO 1910".
