WITH friendly greetings and best wishes we again hand you our Seed Annual, confident, as we do so, that our efforts to place before our readers a “Catalogue and Gardener’s Guide” that will bring before them, in pleasing and useful form, ” Everything for the Farm, Garden, and Lawn, will be appreciated by our many friends and patrons. Those acquainted with our former publications will perceive that our entire book has been carefully revised, and while affording reasonable space to all standard varieties, of whose merits w^e have become assured, we have eliminated from our list all those sorts which are now supplanted by newer and better kinds. Our descriptions and cultural direc tions, while brief, will be found accurate and practical, and success cannot fail to attend the efforts of the least experi enced cultivator who carefully studies and follows them.
