A variety of products with my photo of a Kousa Dogwood in Oberlin, Ohio.

As you have probably noticed, I am starting to make better use of some of my best photos by turning them into a variety of products via RedBubble.com. You can check out my entire portfolio of photos and products on my portfolio page — Douglas E. Welch

Dew rb portfolio

RedBubble creates apparel, smartphone, tablet and laptop covers, photographic prints on paper, canvas and poster stock, throw pillows, mugs, tote bags ad drawstring bags and cards and postcards. You order directly from the site and the products are delivered right to your door.

There are also significant discounts when ordering multiple products, like cards, and special offers on a regular basis.

Below is a typical product page showing nearly all the products available. I hope you’ll consider purchasing something for yourself or your friends and family in the coming months. I think you’ll find some beautiful items to bring a small part of my garden and travels into your homes and offices.

I will have a large number of Christmas Cards designs available for the holidays, too, and will be posting them around October of this year to insure timely ordering and delivery to you.

Video: Black and White Studies, Orcutt Ranch, Woodland Hills, California

Black and White studies shot at Orcutt Ranch, Woodland Hills, California

While the family was out of town on a school trip, I took a couple of hours to wander around Orcutt Ranch in Woodland Hills taking photographs and learning more about some settings on my camera. These black and white images where the result. I find something very special in black and white photos of nature and these show it off to its best advantage, I think. There seems to be so much character in these photos that the color versions don’t see to show.

I highly recommend taking yourself on a photowalk somewhere near your home and dedicate the time to simply seeing and photographing what is there. I think you will be pleasantly surprised with the results.

This is a wonderful outdoor museum and I highly recommend you visit if you are even in the area. It is just a short bus ride out from Cardiff Station. This Victorian area was used in a Doctor Who episode starring David Tennant, Human Nature, in a scene where The Doctor stops a piano from falling on a mother and child as they pass this storefront.
