Palm House and Aloe Flowers, Adelaide Botanic Garden, Adelaide, Australia [Photography]

Posted on November 12, 2025 by Douglas E. Welch

A wide, outdoor shot depicts a botanical garden with a large, ornate glass greenhouse as the central focus. The greenhouse has a complex, Victorian-style structure with a peaked roof and visible metal framework. In the foreground, various cacti and succulent plants of different sizes and textures fill the garden bed, with a prominent aloe plant bearing bright orange flowers in the lower right corner. The garden bed consists of rocks and gravel, and the surrounding foliage varies in color from deep green to reddish-brown. The sky is overcast with a mix of blue and white clouds, creating a diffused lighting effect across the scene.
