Three Sisters – Daffodils 2006 [Photography]

Posted on September 5, 2025 by Douglas E. Welch

The image features three bright yellow daffodils in full bloom, with their trumpet-shaped corona and six petal-like tepals. The flowers are positioned in the foreground, with their vibrant yellow color contrasting against a dark background. The petals have a smooth texture, and the corona displays a ruffled edge. The background includes a tree trunk with rough bark and some green foliage, with a hint of a white structure, possibly a building, in the upper left corner. The lighting is natural, highlighting the flowers and casting shadows, enhancing the depth of the image.
