Once more we draw near, very near that season of special good will called Christmas, a time belonging peculiarly to the young, who are busy suggesting what they most desire Santa Claus to put in their stockings. Many a grown-up is thankful for these suggestions, as what to give is not always an easily solved problem. Now California Garden is of the very youngest of the young, being barely half a year old, but it is a lusty youngster and can voice its wants as well as the rest, and hopes its relations and wellwishers will sit up and take notice. California Garden has hung up its stocking in the office of Rodney Stokes, 398 Third street, San Diego, and it wants it filled with subscriptions and advertising contracts. It suggests that every subscriber should send at least one year’s subscription to a friend this Christmas. The friend will like it and so will California Garden.
